Fundraisers
October 17th, 2010- Team Hot Spot participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk held at the Masonic Home in Utica, NY.
October 16th, 2010- The Hot Spot Salon & Spa staff held their 3rd annual Cut-A-Thon where they raised $1,825 for The American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. They all donated their time on this day to provide $10 Haircuts and $5 Pink Hair Extensions. Five Gift Certificates were also donated by the salon to raise funds through a Silent Auction and pink ribbons, bracelets and a bake sale also aided in their efforts. At this year's Cut-A-Thon, two Breast Cancer survivors attended to participate in the event as well as boost morale. (see picture below) Salvatore's Pizzeria on Main Street in Herkimer was generous enough to donate their wonderful pizza, sausage bread, tomato pie and more for patrons to enjoy while they waited! A very special thank you to everyone who helped this very special cause.

October 18th, 2009- The girls at Hot Spot Salon & Spa participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at the Masonic Home in Utica, NY where they donated their earings from the Cut-A-Thon the week before.
October 10th, 2009- Hot Spot Salon & Spa raised $1,350 for the American Cancer Society through they're 2nd Annual Cut-A-Thon. Prior to the even they offered $1 Breast Cancer Ribbons to be displayed within the salon and a Chinese Auction with five different gift certificates valued at over $200 to be raffled off. The day of the event each employee donated over three hours of their time to provide $10 haircuts (normally $18-$20) where all the profits would be donated to the cause. Between the Ribbons, Chinese Auction, and Cut-A-Thon the team raised an astonishing $1,350 which will be donated on Sunday, October 18th, 2009 where they will be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Hot Spot Salon & Spa would like to thank Salvatore's Pizzeria, on Main St. in Herkimer for donating the delicious food to the event. A special thanks also goes out to everyone who came to show their support to this wonderful cause.

August 2008- The team at Hot Spot Salon & Spa donated services to create a silent chinese auction within the salon to raise money for the Will Schrader Fund. Over $600.00 was raised and donated to the family to help in their fight.
November 2008- Hot Spot Salon & Spa participated in their first annual Cut-a-Thon. Each member of the team donated they're time to provide $10 haircuts to patrons where all the proceeds would be donated to charity. They raised over $600.00 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. (A special thanks to Salvatore's Pizzaria in Herkimer, NY for donated food to the event.)
