Hot Spot Salon & Spa is a full service hair, nail & tanning salonthat has been in business since September of 2002. Because of our dedication to developing customer satisfaction though experienced techniques, a highly qualified and motivated staff, an upbeat yet relaxing atmosphere, and an exceptional price/quality relationship, we have quickly grown to be the Mohawk Valley's premier full-service hair, nail and tanning salon. Through continuous education, we provide the most professional service, latest trends, and excellent standards.  The laid back but professional atmoshpere will make you feel at home while the closeness of the staff give you a feeling of family.

Amy R. Mosher is the owner of Hot Spot Salon & Spa where she is the top stylist and technician. She has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2001 with a degree from The Orlo School of Hair Design and Cosmetology in Albany, New York. Her hard work and determination put her at the top of her class. Amy is proud to say that Hot Spot Salon & Spa is an exclusive GOLDWELL and KMS California salon utilizing all of their professional color and styling products. She has gained valuable experience in her field and continues her education with many extensive technique classes and shows. Amy is a GOLDWELL Color Specialist and a GOLDWELL Color Master. The Color Specialist class is a combination of hands on training, lecture and comprehensive testing. Once successfully completed, participants advance to the Master Program which is a two day hands on training focusing mainly on new techniques and color formulations. From there, Amy was asked by GOLDWELL of New York to be a GOLDWEL and KMS California Educator. She was certified in February 2010 as a KMS California Style Counsel Trainer after a five day training at GOLDWELL’s Academy @ Santa Monica. In April 2010 she was certified as a GOLDWELL Technical Associate at GOLDWELL’s Academy @ Baltimore. She is now conducting classes to help others further their education with the GOLDWELL and KMS California family. Classes include beginning and advance color theory and techniques, product knowledge, up styling, cutting, marketing ideas and much more. This also directly aids in increasing the excellence in techniques and knowledge of herself and her staff at Hot Spot Salon & Spa. Her already exceedingly, substantial clientele continues to increase due to her unique trade skills and creativity. Her business also continues to grow due to her business sense, willpower, organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Her unique ideas to better her business are recognizable and appreciated by all of the clients who enter the salon. Amy is extremely involved in the community whether it be donating gift certificates to charity silent auctions, attending benefits, holding our annual “Cut-A-Thon” to raise money for charity or by simply showing support for our local schools. She also loves interacting with her clients and is extremely grateful for their amazing support and loyalty throughout the years!
